TRAST Aero was a Kyrgyz-owned cargo airline based at Sharjah International Airport. The carrier ceased operations in 2010.
"TRAST Aero" derives from a portmanteau of TRade AeroSpace Technologies.[1]
The airline formerly had a fleet consisting of three BAC 1-11 Series 500s.[2][3] In addition, the airline also operated Ilyushin IL-76Ts, Antonov AN-26Bs, Ilyushin IL-18Ds, and Antonov AN-32s at a point.[4]
History
[edit]The airline started operations in 2005 with a hub at Sharjah International Airport.
In 2006, the airline purchased three BAC 1-11s from Comet Airlines, TAROM, and Chanchangi Airlines.
Someone PLEASE help with this draft :(
