Transformers: Reactivate is a cancelled online action game based on the franchise of the same name by Hasbro. It was being developed by Splash Damage.[1]

Development

[edit]

After the end of Activision's exclusivity deal with Hasbro, reports emerged in 2018 that Certain Affinity was working on a new Transformers game (tentatively known as Transformers: Impact and Transformers Online). In 2021, it was confirmed through members of the development team that the game had been retitled Transformers: Rise.

The game underwent shifts in developers ranging from Certain Affinity to Bulkhead Interactive, and lastly Splash Damage. The game was officially announced on 9 December 2022 during the 2022 Game Awards via teaser trailer with the official title as Transformers: Reactivate.

Cancellation

[edit]

On 8 January 2025, it was announced that development on Transformers: Reactivate had ceased, and that Splash Damage would be scaling down on the studio.[2][3]
