She has partnered with well known companies including Bang Energy and has appeared on the television hit series *My Haunted House: The Sorority*.[3] She also toured the U.S. visiting schools to speak about bullying and perform music. Vild’s next studio album is scheduled for release around Halloween 2025.

Early life and education

[edit]

Tori Alyxsandra Vild was born on February 19, 1993, in Glendora, California. She was raised in El Monte before relocating with her family to Rancho Cucamonga. She is of Italian, Czech, and Nigerian descent. Her biological father worked as a commercial insurance broker, and her mother was a bartender. Her mother remarried; her father works for the U.S. government.

Though no immediate family members pursued careers in the arts, Tori's uncle Randy was a musician in a band. At the age of five, she visited a recording studio with her uncle and biological father, sparking an early interest in music. By age 13, she had begun formal vocal training with well known Liz Duenas.

Vild gave her first public performance in second grade, singing “Little Saint Nick” during an elementary school holiday show. She began studying hip hop dance and later trained at the Kalvin Latimer Dance Academy. She also took music instruction with Addison K. Witt, further developing her performance skills in both singing and stage presence.

She attended Vineyard Junior High School and later Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, where she continued to perform in school productions, as well as joining the cheer squad. She graduated from high school before beginning her career in entertainment.

2008–2014: Early beginnings and studio work

[edit]

Tori V began performing in 2008 as part of a high school cheer team before pursuing music. By 2012, she was recording original music in studios and honing her sound. She released an early cover of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, which marked one of her first public music recordings. She later landed the role as Heather in My Haunted House: The Sorority in 2014.

2015–2018: Viral moments and debut album

[edit]

Later that year, she released her debut album American Beauty, which included her viral 2017 cover of “Barbie Girl.” The track amassed over 360 million views on YouTube and helped launch her into widespread visibility online.[1]

During this time, Vild gained attention for a viral clip known as the “Trip to Miami” girl, which was shared on WorldStarHipHop. She worked as a background dancer on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up, specifically in the “TTYLXOX” performance segment. She also appeared as a featured love interest in music videos by several artists, including Kalin and Myles’ “Trampoline.” In addition, she modeled for clothing brands and participated in music video cameos for various rappers and singer-songwriters.[3]

“Barbie Girl” (2017)

[edit]

In 2017, Tori V released a cover of Aqua’s 1997 hit “Barbie Girl,” inspired by frequent comparisons to the doll and her personal love for the color pink and the Barbie aesthetic. The music video, uploaded to YouTube, gained over one million views within the first three weeks and went on to become a viral sensation, amassing over 361 million views to date.[1]

2018–2022: Independent releases and digital reach

[edit]

Vild continued releasing original music with singles like “Short Shorts” (2018), “Pink Christmas” (2019), and “Bubblegum” (2022). Her music was featured on Dance Radio, and her fanbase began to expand across streaming platforms and social media. She also choreographed the dance sequence for her “Short Shorts” music video.

“Short Shorts” (2018)

[edit]

Released in 2018, “Short Shorts” was inspired by Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” and embraced a high school theme with choreography and styling to match. The music video was filmed at Vild’s real high school, and the dance was choreographed by Tori herself. It became a fan favorite for its nostalgic energy and visual throwbacks to late '90s pop icons.

“Pink Christmas” (2019)

[edit]

Tori V released her holiday-themed single “Pink Christmas” in 2019, combining festive cheer with her signature pink aesthetic. The upbeat pop track gained traction across social media, with fans using the sound in Christmas décor content and stylized posts. The song has become a seasonal fan staple, particularly among followers embracing non-traditional holiday vibes.

“Bubblegum” (2022)

[edit]

“Bubblegum” was released in 2022 and marked a bold statement of Tori V’s identity in pop music. Lyrically centered around the addictive appeal of bubblegum pop, the song positioned her as both a creator and symbol of that sound. With a bouncy, colorful aesthetic, the single was premiered through livestream performances on YouTube and TikTok, where she interacted directly with fans during its launch.

2023–present: Big Bad Wolf era and livestreaming dominance

[edit]

In 2023, Tori V released “Future Barbie Girl” featuring Aaron Doh, and followed it with “Big Bad Wolf” in 2025—a theatrical single that introduced a darker pop-clown hybrid sound.[2] That same year, she released “Psyop”, which gained traction on TikTok with millions of views.

Tori V has since emerged as one of the top female music livestreamers in the United States, regularly drawing thousands of viewers per stream and being recognized as a top creator by TikTok Live. She appeared in a TikTok Live On Air interview to discuss the release of “Big Bad Wolf”, and her growing influence earned her a #1 win in a Music Live On Air campaign. In addition to a growing Spotify listener base, Vild announced plans for a tour launching in late 2025. She also played the lead role of “Kim” in the feature film Seven Deadly Sins.[3] She has built a loyal online fanbase known as the “Looneez,” who actively support her music, livestreams, and themed content releases.

“Future Barbie Girl” (2023)

[edit]

In 2023, Tori V released “Future Barbie Girl,” a modern twist on her 2017 viral hit. The single coincided with the global marketing wave surrounding the Barbie movie and leaned into a futuristic-pop aesthetic while maintaining her iconic pink persona. The track featured her best friend and frequent collaborator Aaron Doh, adding a comedic and nostalgic tone to the release. Though independently distributed, “Future Barbie Girl” was heavily promoted via TikTok visuals and short-form content, ultimately surpassing one million views across platforms.[2]

“Psyop” (2025)

[edit]

Released in early 2025, “Psyop” brought a darker and more experimental edge to Tori V’s discography. The song is told from the perspective of a girl in a mental institution, and its abstract, disjointed lyrics sparked widespread reaction on TikTok. Fans resonated with the chaotic honesty of the track, often using it in clown makeup transformation videos and content exploring mental health. It also introduced Vild’s pivot into horrorcore and genre-blending artistry.

“Big Bad Wolf” (2025)

[edit]

Released in June 2025, “Big Bad Wolf” marked a defining shift in Tori V’s artistry, embracing a darker, theatrical pop style she later described as “clown-pop” and “dark fairytale.” The concept was rooted in the transformation of public perception—from being seen as an innocent, naive girl to revealing her strength and dominance as the “big bad wolf.” The track uses layered vocals and voice changes to emphasize the character-driven narrative.

The song was written in real time during a TikTok livestream with active fan participation, reinforcing her connection to her audience. Visually and sonically, the project reflected Vild’s decision to stop filtering herself and instead embody her truest artistic identity. “Big Bad Wolf” was mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Tom Lord-Alge and mastered by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound. It serves as a lead single from her upcoming Halloween-themed studio album.
