Tomoyuki Miyagawa (born April 20, 1967) is an executive officer and the director of the Programming and Production Department at Nihon Eiga Broadcasting Corporation. He is also a film producer and television drama producer. He hails from Tokyo, Japan.
**Career**
Miyagawa graduated from Nihon University College of Art. After working at Tohokushinsha Film Corporation, he moved to J Sky B. Since the launch of the BS/CS broadcasting channels Nihon Eiga Senmon Channel and Samurai Darama TV in 1998, he has been involved in programming and planning.
From 2008 to 2010, he was seconded to the Film Production Department of Fuji Television's Film Business Bureau. During this time, he worked as a producer on films such as LIAR GAME The Final Stage.
In 2010, with the start of BS broadcasting on Nihon Eiga Senmon Channel, he returned to programming for both channels. Beyond programming, he has been involved in the planning and production of numerous theatrical films and television samurai dramas, including works by director Shigemichi Sugita (The Last Ronin, Giovanni's Island, A Duel Tale, Tales of Brigdes; The Pomise, The Return) and director Shunji Iwai (A Bride for Rip Van Winkle, The 12-Day Tale of the Monster that Died in 8 Days).
Notable theatrical films include The Last Ronin (2010), LIAR GAME The Final Stage (2010), BAIAN the Assassin, M.D. Parts 1 & 2 (2023), and upcoming projects such as Tale of Bridge Stories: Promise and Confession (2024). He is also the executive producer for the Samurai Detective Onihei series and the sequel to Hey Handsome!!, which includes both a series and a theatrical version. Additionally, he has appeared on Samurai Detective Onihei Radio (KBS Kyoto Radio) hosted by Matsumoto Koshiro. Recently, he has produced events like Nihon Eiga Senmon Channel presents Itami Juzo 4K Film Festival and the action period drama SHOGUN'S NINJA.
