"Tightrope Ride" is a song by the American rock band The Doors released as a single in 1971.
Lyrics
[edit]The lyrics address Morrison's self-destructive lifestyle.[3]
Reception
[edit]Record World said the song was a "knockout rouser that amply demonstrates the band's ability to rock on successfully with other voices."[4] Cashbox called it a "cut which should have no trouble proving that the group is an eternal on both singles and album charts. A mover, start to finish."[5]
Release
[edit]Ray Manzarek chose Tightrope Ride and Ships w/ Sails as the singles as they were his favorite songs from Other Voices.[6]
