Thompson Oludare Sunday is the Managing Director-designate of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC)[1]. He was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in May, 2025 to lead the Deposit Insurance regulator[2]. His appointment is currently with the Nigerian Senate for confirmation[3].

Career

Sunday holds a Bachelor's and Masters in Economics and a PhD. He retired from the Central Bank of Nigeria as Director, where he worked mostly in the Banking Supervision function[4].
