StonePraise Technique
[edit]StonePraise Technique is a musical genre that involves the use of instruments to mimic human voice.[1]. It was invented by Andrews Osei-Asibey Stopfords in August 2004, and performed using a Bass guitar. He describes it as been somewhat opposite to Accapella where the human voice is used to mimic musical instruments.
He went on to perform it with an acoustic guitar in 2011 and a piano 11 years later.
Personal Life
[edit]Andrews Osei-Asibey Stopfords, popularly known as Stonepraise is a Ghanian gospel artist. He is a singer and songwriter and performs and plays many musical instruments including the Bass guitar, acoustic guitar and piano. He is originally from Hiawu Besease in Ghana and grew up in both Ghana and Nigeria. He trained as a physician assistant in Nigeria, Ghana and the United States and currently works as an emergency medicine physician assistant [2]
His musical influences include Abraham Laboriel, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Don Moen, Miles Davis, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly, Kim Burrell, Steve Bailey, John Patitucci, Al Jarreau, George Benson and George Duke[2]
