[edit]The Tour took places during the time the group was about to leave Motown records. It started with their Second trip to the Philipines with a series of concerts called "Love Jive" sponsored by Vicor Music, Hope and Philippine airlines.
The journey started with a press conference at Manila Hilton hotel. They performed 6 sold-out concerts attracting more than 150.000 people and also appeared for the second time on the TV show "Student Canteen" Hosted by Eddie Ilarde, Bobby Ledesma, Helen Vela and Connie Reyes where Michael was the judge and the one who award the winner of a singing contest before taking the stage to perform "One Day In Your Life". [1]
During their time in the country, Micheal was introduced to Vilma Santos who was a fan of the group. Some Producers offered the group an opportunity to play in a movie with Nora Aunor but the project never happened. The Jackson 5 took a trip to Pagsanjan falls then played a basketball game against the Vicor all-stars, a team composed of famous Filipinos entertainers that includes Victor Wood and Eddie peregrina at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
Coming back from Philippines, they took part in a Charity Basketball game with other Black entertainers such as Marvin Gaye, Tony King and Don Cornelius before heading to Mexico City where they taped a full concert at Televisa San Ángel[2]as part of a Television Spacial broadcasted all over Latin america every night for a whole week drawing an estmated 35 million viewers.[3][4] On the video while performing "Dancing Machine", Michael sings with several members of the audience in the front row among whom was Mexican diva Maria Félix.[5]
