The HasanAbi Doctrine is a notion created by Hasan Piker in which he states that countries should have nuclear weapons or should get some if accused of having them. The first mention of "The HasanAbi Doctrine" was on his live stream on March 12, 2022[1], where he was discussing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and later cited again in reference to the Israel-Iran War.
The Doctrine
[edit]Hasan Piker has argued that nuclear armed states are less likely to engage in direct warfare, typically resorting to proxy war instead. However, this assertion is not absolute, as evidenced by recent confrontations between nuclear powers such as the India-Pakistan conflict where direct hostilities have occurred despite mutual nuclear deterrence.
The Rules
[edit]The doctrine rules are as follows:
- As a nation, you should have Nuclear Weapons
- Do not give up your Nuclear Weapons (Example Ukraine)
- If you don't have Nuclear Weapons and you are accused of having them, acquire them as soon as possible.
