[1]

The Colony Bees Association Inc is a registered charity in Australia, established in 2021, dedicated to advancing the knowledge of bees and promoting environmental restoration to enhance biodiversity and pollinator habitats. Their mission focuses on protecting wild bee habitats, which encompasses safeguarding air, soil, water, and old-growth trees that provide essential homes for bees.

The Association emphasizes the critical role of bees in plant pollination, air purification, and the production of medicinal substances such as honey, propolis, pollen, royal jelly, and apilarnil. They advocate for the creation of bee sanctuaries and offer educational programs to foster traditional apiculture practices. Their initiatives include educational workshops, classes, and training programs across New South Wales to develop skills in natural beekeeping and bee conservation. ACNC.GOV.AU

Looking ahead, the Association is organizing the Natural Beekeeping Summit in August 2025 in the Northern Rivers region, inviting guardians, natural beekeepers, and apiarists to collaborate through lectures, art installations, and volunteering opportunities.

Membership with the Colony Bees Association renews annually on September 30, offering individuals the chance to support and engage with their ongoing efforts in environmental education, bee conservation, and sustainable apiculture practices.
