The Blue Tree Foundation (BTF; Korean: 푸른나무재단)[1] is South Korean NGO against school violence.[2]
BTF operates National School Violence Helpline (1588–9128)[1] to support victims,[3] conducts National Research on School & Cyber Violence[4] and related research to develop policies necessary to solve school bullying problems, by proposing and disseminating field programs for anti-bullying.
History
[edit]In 1995, The founder, Kim Jong-ki, established BTF after losing his 16-year-old son, Dae-hyun, due to school violence, with the hope that there will no longer be a father like himself.
The organization was originally named the Foundation for Preventing Youth Violence (FPYV), but in 2019, it was renamed to The Blue Tree Foundation.[5]

- In July 2022, Starship and its artists participated in The Blue Tree Foundation's campaign to declare support for non-violence. It was established to prevent school and cyberbullying, and to heal the victims, is conducting a "national non-violence campaign" in which the citizens can participate to publicize the seriousness of violence and to spread a culture of non-violence.[12]
