Takondwa Maosa

Takondwa Maosa (born June 2001) is a Malawian-English footballer and entrepreneur. He plays as a midfielder for Cambridge City F.C. in the Isthmian League and is the co-founder of the streetwear brand Divided London. He has also been involved in community youth initiatives in Essex.

Early Life and Education

Maosa was born in June 2001 and grew up in Essex, United Kingdom. Of Malawian descent, he developed an early interest in football and entrepreneurship. At age 11, he was awarded the Jack Petchey Achievement Award for his work ethic and contribution to youth football programs, including time spent with Southend United F.C. youth outreach initiatives.

Club Career

Brentwood Town

Maosa played for Brentwood Town F.C., a club in the Isthmian League, where he featured as a central midfielder. He was noted for his leadership qualities and technical ability on the ball.

Cambridge City

In mid-2024, Maosa signed with Cambridge City F.C.. He made his debut in a league match against Witham Town in September 2024. He has continued to develop as a regular squad member and was praised by local media and fans for his work ethic and creative play in midfield.

International Career

In 2024, Maosa received his first call-up to the Malawi national team setup, although he has yet to make his senior debut.

Entrepreneurship

Maosa is the co-founder of Divided London, a UK-based streetwear brand that promotes individuality through its slogan "Normalise Being Different". The brand is based in Southend-on-Sea and has been featured in regional youth entrepreneur showcases.

Community Work

In addition to his business and sporting pursuits, Maosa has been an advocate for youth empowerment. He is the co-founder of the YES Young Entrepreneurs Southend Network and frequently speaks at events aimed at motivating young people.
