Early career

[edit]

On 29 June 2022, Imanaga made his professional debut in a bout against Takahiro Hamazaki. In the second round, Imanaga scored a knockdown after landing a straight left hand. Later in the same round, Imamaga landed a right hook which knocked Hamazkai down for a second time. Following the second knockdown, Hamazaki's corner opted to call an end to the bout.[2][3] Imanaga's second outing as a professional was against John Lawrence Ordonio on 26 August 2022. In the fourth round, Imanaga connected with a number of body shots which put his opponent on the canvas. Imanaga was declared the winner after Ordonio was unable to beat the count.[4][5]
