Comment: Fails WP:NBAND / WP:NMUSIC, lacks any sources or references, without which it is all original research. Also needs to be re-written as an encyclopaedic article not as a fan page - remove all peacock and weasel phrasing/statements (such as "establishing themselves as a rising force within the alternative rock scene", and "his raw, personal lyrical approach and dynamic stage presence", and "lyrics frequently explore personal struggles, societal injustices, and themes of resilience, delivered with an unfiltered, punk-inspired attitude". TX2 is an American emo, pop punk, and alternative rock band formed by lead singer-songwriter Timothy Evan Thomas—professionally known as TX2—in Fort Collins, Colorado. Initially emerging from Thomas’s solo work in 2018, the project quickly evolved into a full-band ensemble. Gaining momentum through viral social media exposure and energetic live performances, TX2 signed with Hopeless Records in July 2023, establishing themselves as a rising force within the alternative rock scene.
History
[edit]TX2 began as the solo effort of Timothy Evan Thomas, who first gained attention through his raw, personal lyrical approach and dynamic stage presence on platforms like YouTube and TikTok. As his following grew, Thomas expanded the project into a band by recruiting longtime friend and collaborator Cameron "Cam" Rostami on guitar and backup vocals, as well as Courtney "Corky" Howard on bass. Although the band has primarily relied on session and touring drummers—including musicians such as Sam Palombo and Ethan Church—their creative vision remains firmly centered on Thomas’s autobiographical and socially charged songwriting. Over time, TX2 has forged a reputation not only for explosive musical output but also for its engagement with fans via livestreams and social networks, along with its active advocacy for mental health awareness and LGBTQ rights.
Musical Style and Influences
[edit]TX2’s sound is characterized by a blend of emo intensity, pop punk energy, and alternative rock dynamics. Their lyrics frequently explore personal struggles, societal injustices, and themes of resilience, delivered with an unfiltered, punk-inspired attitude. Drawing influence from bands such as Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Get Scared, Hollywood Undead, and Ice Nine Kills, TX2 has carved out a niche defined by aggressive guitar riffs, emotive vocal performances, and anthemic choruses that resonate deeply with audiences seeking authenticity in alternative music.
