Susil S. Dungarwal is an Indian shopping mall strategist, entrepreneur, author, and the founder of Beyond Squarefeet Advisory Pvt. Ltd. He is considered one of the pioneers in the Indian retail real estate and shopping centre industry.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Dungarwal was born in India. He pursued his education in commerce and marketing before venturing into the retail and shopping centre industry.
Career
[edit]Susil began his career in retail in the early 1990s and later transitioned into mall advisory and strategic planning. Over the years, he held leadership roles at various major retail brands before founding Beyond Squarefeet, a mall advisory company.[3]
As a strategist, he has worked on the planning, leasing, and management of several prominent shopping malls in India and abroad, including Dubai and Qatar.[4]
Beyond Squarefeet
[edit]In 2009, he founded Beyond Squarefeet Advisory Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai, a consultancy focused on shopping centre development, leasing, and management. The company has advised and managed several award-winning malls in India and the Middle East.[5]

- The Anatomy of a Shopping Mall (2015)
- The Mechanics of Malls (2024)[2]
