Surpur was a town or territory near Jaisalmer (presently some parts in pakistan ). This royal family moved to Bihar and ruled Dhaudanr riyasat with 36 praganas but later lost it due to conflict with Mughals, after that they moved to Namudag Raj and established their new rule and became prominent in Bihar.[1]
