Suriya 46 is the tentative title of an upcoming Indian Tamil-language film written and directed by Venky Atluri. Produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film stars Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles.

The film was officially announced in April 2025 under the tentative title Suriya 46, as it is the actor's 46th film as a leading actor. Principal photography commenced the following month in Hyderabad. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by Nimish Ravi and editing by Naveen Nooli.
The film is scheduled to be released in summer (April—June) 2026.

[edit]In late February 2025, it was reported that Suriya would join hands with Venky Atluri for his 46th film as a lead actor. Initially, Venky was reported to reunite with Dhanush after Vaathi (2023) for his second Tamil film; however, Suriya was instead brought onboard.[1] The project would reportedly be funded by S. Naga Vamsi's Sithara Entertainments, in their second Tamil film as well after Vaathi.[2] In late April, Venky confirmed the project, tentatively titled Suriya 46.[3] The company made a public announcement on 19 May 2025, confirming the project.[4]
Casting
[edit]Mamitha Baiju was cast as the female lead, in her first pairing with Suriya as well as fourth Tamil after Rebel (2024), Dude (2025), Jana Nayagan (2026) and Irandu Vaanam.[5] Raveena Tandon and Radhika Sarathkumar were cast in important roles.[6]
Filming
[edit]Principal photography began on 19 May 2025 with an inaugural puja ceremony in Hyderabad with the film's cast and crew, under the working title 796CC.[7][8] The first schedule would commence by the end of the month with an action sequence.[9]
Music
[edit]The soundtrack is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, in his second collaboration with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru (2020); third with Venky after Vaathi (2023) and Lucky Baskhar (2024).[10]
Release
