History
[edit]Softrate Tech Park was established in 2020 with the aim of decentralizing Chennai’s tech development footprint and introducing a dedicated IT hub to Mangadu. The initiative was spearheaded by entrepreneur and CEO Balaji Rajendran, who envisioned building a sustainable, inclusive IT center that would integrate business growth with community and educational outreach.[2]
The park began as a modest software studio and gradually expanded into a full-scale technology park with dedicated departments for software development, cloud engineering, design, digital branding, and data analytics. By 2023, it had become the base for Softrate’s core operations and internal innovation units.

It includes development bays, QA testing zones, management cabins, an AV-equipped training hall, client meeting rooms, and collaborative breakout areas.
The park also supports hybrid and remote operations with secure network access, cloud-based versioning, and real-time project dashboards. Power backup systems and secure internet lines ensure 24/7 continuity for local and international projects.
