Society for Radiation Research

The Society for Radiation Research (SRR) is a scientific society based in Mumbai, India, focused on promoting research and education in radiation sciences. It was registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, on 15 December 2014, with registration number 2280, under the jurisdiction of the Registrar of Societies, Mumbai, Maharashtra.[1]

Objectives and Activities

The Society engages in activities related to radiation biology, radiation oncology, radiation chemistry, non-ionizing radiation, environmental radiation studies, and space radiation. It organizes conferences, workshops, and other academic events to facilitate information exchange and collaboration among researchers.[2]

Publications

SRR publishes the Journal of Radiation and Cancer Research (JRCR), a peer-reviewed open-access journal that covers topics in radiation biology, cancer biology, and related disciplines. The journal is published quarterly by Wolters Kluwer–Medknow.[3]

Membership

The Society offers several categories of membership, including Full, Emeritus, Overseas, Associate, Student, Honorary, Corporate, and Institutional. Membership is open to individuals and organizations involved in relevant fields, subject to eligibility criteria defined by the Society.[4]

The registered office of the Society is located at the Advanced Centre for Radiation Oncology, Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai – 400056, Maharashtra, India.[5]
