Delvin Mudigi, professionally known as Savara, is a Kenyan musician, songwriter, producer and business person. He is a member of Kenya's boy band Sauti Sol.
Career
[edit]Sauti Sol
[edit]Savara started out his music career in 2005, as part of Sauti Sol, a Kenyan Afropop group. In 2023, the group took a break to focus on their personal careers.[1][2] He is currently signed to Sol Generation Records, a label that he co-owns with fellow Sauti sol members.[3]
Solo Career: 2021 to present
[edit]In 2021, Savara released his first single, Balance, as a solo artist. In 2022, he released his debut solo-album Savage Level.[4][5][6]The 14-track album included songs that covered themes on love, consciousness, anxiety and growth. Savara produced all 14 songs.[7] The album has been described as 'rich with anthemic Afropop-soul fusions'.[8]
In May 2024, Savara released his second solo project an EP 'No Overthinking'. The EP included 8 tracks with collaborations with artists like Murumba Pitch, Harmonize, MYX Quest and Mr Drew.[9]
Other Ventures
[edit]In 2017, Savara launched the Savara Women’s Advancement Program (SaWa). The program aimed at equipping young women with skills in finance, mental health and arts.[10]
