Sara Cassey (1929-1966) was an American jazz composer. She moved from Detroit to New York City in the mid-1950s and worked for Riverside Records.[1][2] Her compositions have been recorded by Nat Adderley, Clark Terry, Billy Taylor, Elvin Jones, Johnny Griffin, Hank Jones, Marian McPartland, and Terri Lyne Carrington.
