Sandalanka Central College (Sinhala: සඳලංකා මධ්ය මහා විද්යාලය) is a co-educational national school located in Sandalankawa, Kurunegala District, Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1945 and has become a leading educational institution in the North Western Province, known for academic excellence, discipline, and technological innovation.
History
[edit]Sandalanka Central College was established on 2 July 1945 under the Central College program introduced by C.W.W. Kannangara, the father of free education in Sri Lanka. The founding principal was Mr. Vincent Subasinghe. Initially started to uplift rural education, the school gradually expanded to become a full-fledged 1AB school offering Advanced Level education in multiple streams.
