This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Comment: The first two sources are almost certainly AI-generated. Remove them / replace, and then it's likely acceptable. qcne (talk) 20:33, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
Comment: Firstly, E-Pao is not a reliable source. Secondly, most of these articles are seemingly AI-generated (either partially or entirely) and as such I doubt their reliability. Rambley (talk) 23:27, 28 June 2025 (UTC)

SPACED OUT – Panthung Di Kadaaida! is a 2021 Manipuri non-feature fiction film written, edited and directed by Priyakanta Laishram and produced by Caroline Laishram under the production banner, Priyakanta Productions.[1] The film follows the emotional and psychological unraveling of Panthoi, a teenage boy trapped in the harrowing cycle of drug addiction. It stars Priyakanta Laishram, Ithoi Oinam, Sachinker Sagolsem, Bhani Khamnam and Biswajit Saikia.[2]

Production
[edit]The film was released on 1 June 2021 on YouTube via Priyakanta Laishram’s official channel, where it received over 500,000 views within 48 hours, marking a record for a film from Northeast India.[4][5]
The English and Punjabi subtitled version of the film was screened across Punjab and Chandigarh on 26 June 2025, in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.[1][4]
It became the first Manipuri film to be dubbed in Punjabi and Haryanvi. On India Today, it was stated that "the film is based in Manipur, but the problem it discusses isn't limited to one location. If it can initiate conversations elsewhere, that's something."[1]
Reception
[edit]In its review, The Sangai Express called Spaced Out – Panthung Di Kadaaida! a powerful exploration of addiction, commending its authenticity and emotional impact, though it suggested the narrative felt rushed due to its brief runtime.[2]
Imphal Review of Arts and Politics described the film as “a poetic, tragic, and necessary film” that approaches teen addiction “as a human crisis rooted in pain, erasure, and emotional collapse.”[6]
The Frontier Manipur described the film as a “meditation on memory and the difficulty of reconciling the happiness of the past with a present that’s become too sad to bear,” praising its unvarnished depiction of addiction’s cycles and the emotional toll on both the protagonist and his family.[3]
