Draft:Rolf Kaufeld

Rolf von Urff-Kaufeld was born in Baden Baden, Germany in January 1942.

In 1959 at the age of 17 he joined the Bundeswehr, 5 Panzer-Division as a private. After completing various training courses was promoted to Non-commissioned Oficer on the 15th December 1962.

In December 1965 he successfully completed a Battalion ATT with the 2d Battalion, 32d Armor of the United States Army and was made an honorary member of the Battalion.

In 1970 he emigrated to Rhodesia in order to fight communism after having seen an advertisement by the Rhodesian government for manpower.
