Rohtas Kumar Bidhuri is an Indian politician and lawyer from Delhi, affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He served as the BJP District President of South Delhi in 2020 and has been active in Delhi politics for over a decade.
In 2025, he contested the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections from the Tughlakabad constituency.[1]
He has been featured in multiple mainstream news outlets for his political and organizational contributions to the BJP in South Delhi.[2]
Political Career
[edit]Rohtas Kumar formally entered politics through the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which recommended him for roles in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He served as District General Secretary, Working President, and twice as District President of South Delhi BJP. He played key roles in BJP's local election campaigns, including the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, and 2022 MCD elections.
In January 2023, he was nominated as an Alderman (Nominated Councillor) in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. In August 2023, he was appointed Co-incharge (Seh-Prabhari) of BJP's New Delhi District. He was the Election In-Charge for the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency during the 2024 general elections.
He contested the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections from the Tughlakabad constituency as a BJP candidate but narrowly lost.
RSS and Social Activities
[edit]Rohtas Kumar held several organizational roles in the RSS, including Jila Karyavah and Vibhag Sharirik Pramukh. He actively promoted physical training and discipline through regular shakhas. He was instrumental in renovating Arya Samaj Mandir and organizing spiritual and community events like Yagyas, Satsangs, and Shobha Yatras.
He also led the construction of local community infrastructure such as Dharamshalas, Mandirs, and public gates through the Shiv Mandir Samiti and Shiv Asara Trust.
Personal Life
[edit]Rohtas Kumar comes from a politically and socially active family. His father has served as Mandal President in BJP. He is widely known for his disciplined image and grassroots leadership. He is considered a strong figure in Tughlakabad and respected in both BJP and RSS circles.
