Robert Tennent Simpson Jr. (September 2, 1893 – February 25, 1974)[2] was a justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama from 1944 to 1972.

Justice Virgil Bouldin retired May 1, 1944 and on July 12, 1944 Simpson was appointed to replace him as an Associate Justice.[3]

Simpson retired in 1972.[3]

He had a son Robert Tennent IV.[4]
