Road signs in Moldova are regulated primarily by Government Decision No. 357 of May 13, 2009, which approved the Traffic Regulation of the Republic of Moldova (Romanian: Regulamentul Circulației Rutiere).[1] After gaining independence from USSR in 1991, Moldova started adapting its own road signage system. Moldova acceded to the Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals on 8 October 2015.[2][3]
The main typeface used on Moldovan road signs is a variation of the GOST 10807-78 typeface.
