Rakesh Raghunathan is a food historian,celebrity chef and a restaurateur based in Chennai, India. He is featured in the panel of judges in MasterChef India- Tamil , 2024. [1] He is one of the most influential chefs in Southern India with his culinary presentations.
He has hosted award winning shows on the Indian national television channels such as Highways Dreams and 100% South Indian on Zee Zest, Super Samayal on Sun TV, Dakshin Diaries on Living Foodz and Sutralam Suvaikalam for News 7 Tamil
He is also known as the singing chef trained in South Indian Classical music.[2]
His has an active presence in the social media, short films, hospitality and food industries and is known for bringing back the "forgotton food" of yesteryears to the forefront through his short film series "Ammavum Naanum" which scored a popular appeal amongst the South Indian viewers.[3]
He has participated in the Hindu Litt for Life Festival, 2024 where he spoke on Taste of Sangam: Culinary journeys into the past.[4]
Awards
