Quinelle "Coach Q" Holder (born July 15, 1990) is an American music executive, journalist, publicist, consultant, playlist curator, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Medium Creative Agency, an entertainment firm based in the Washington metropolitan area, which he launched in 2015.

Early life

Holder was born at Saint John's Queens Hospital in Jamaica, Queens, New York. He later attended Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Virginia, graduating in 2008.^[2]

Career

Holder began his career in the entertainment industry in 2009, working with Virginia-based clothing lines as a product placement manager. In 2012, he joined Cornerstone Agency/The FADER as a Field Activation Researcher and Marketing Representative. Within a year, he was promoted to Senior Field Activation Research and Marketing Representative for the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.

In 2013, Holder became a staff writer for Hip Hop Since 1987, a platform founded by Brandon Wyche. Over the years, he expanded his expertise in music marketing and publicity, working on campaigns for notable clients and organizations, including:

Recognition

Holder’s industry knowledge and business acumen have earned him local and national recognition. He has been featured in Pharrell Williams’ Something In The Water festival (#VAForThePeople: Community Conversations) and served as a guest panelist for William & Mary’s 2nd Annual Hip-Hop Celebration.

Nationally, Holder has been acknowledged by VIBE Magazine, where he participated in the Top Dawg Entertainment vs. GQ discussion^[3], and was named one of AfroTech's "10 Black Men Who Found Success Through Digital Platforms"^[4] in 2020. In 2017, he joined The Recording Academy’s D.C. Chapter, serving as a Board Advisor and Hip-Hop Committee Member, later becoming the Co-Chair of the Membership Committee.

Most recently, The Digilogue announced Holder as the DMV Community Curator. He currently serves as Senior Publicist for Rodney Jerkins' record label, Alienz Alive^[5] and for ONErpm.

Personal life

Holder married Sabrina Vaz-Holder in June 2014 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The couple has two children: a daughter born in 2019 and a son born in 2024. In his spare time, Holder serves at his local church, Lifepoint Church, as a youth leader for middle school boys.
