Al-Rasheed Satellite Channel, (English: Al Rasheed TV), is an independent satellite television channel that was opened in 2009, where its studios and broadcasting center were opened in the capital Baghdad. It also has a number of branch offices in a number of Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt and Jordan, in addition to the spread of its offices in all governorates of Iraq, Al-Rasheed channel is owned by Mr. Saad Assem Al-Janabi, President of the Iraqi Republican Assembly. Al-Rashid channel owns a affiliated radio, Al-Rasheed Radio, which covers the capital Baghdad and a number of other governorates (Basra, Mosul, Kirkuk).[1][2]
