Patti M. Walsh is an American author and speaker. Her Companion Moon series of middle-grade magical realism is inspired by Celtic mythology. She also writes short fiction and non-fiction.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
Walsh lectures on Celtic and pre-Celtic mythology and conducts hands-on workshops that engage middle-school students and their parents in subjects related to her books.[8]

Career
[edit]A former middle-grade and high-school teacher, Walsh also worked in corporate and nonprofit communications. At the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), she served as editor in chief of Electroindustry magazine and technical editor of electrical standards.
As an educator, she managed a private learning center, coauthored an animation curriculum, and served as associate director of a federal program for students with disabilities in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Consulting work includes technical writing and editing; developmental, line, and copy editing; proofreading; and writing grant proposals and reports.
