In 2021, the “European Future Highly Mobile Augmented Armoured Systems” (FAMOUS) project received €9 million in funding from the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) for the purpose of developing armored platforms for use in extreme environments. The consortium attached to the project included companies from Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, and Spain. Patria Land Oy was marked as the coordinator of the project.[2]
