It was officially selected for the Indian Panorama section at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and won the prestigious **ICFT–UNESCO Gandhi Medal** for its humanistic storytelling.[2][3]
Following the film’s critical success, Chhangani co-produced its Hindi remake titled Safar in collaboration with producer Vishal Rana of Echelon Productions. Safar is directed by the same filmmaker and features Bollywood actor Sunny Deol in the lead role.[1]
