Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun is a Nigerian aerospace engineer, politician, and philanthropist. He is currently a board member of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), representing North Central Nigeria, a position to which he was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2024.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Balogun was born in Esie, an ancient town in the Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, located in the Kwara South Senatorial District. He pursued higher education in engineering and earned credentials from Harvard University.[1]

Career

Balogun is trained as an aerospace engineer and was previously affiliated with SpaceX, an American aerospace company.[3][4][5]

Political career

Balogun began his political journey as a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in 2017 before switching to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He is regarded as an influential political figure in Kwara South.[6][7]

Enact Innovation Hub

Balogun is the founder of the Enact Innovation Hub, a technology and entrepreneurship center that promotes youth empowerment and innovation. The initiative has trained and graduated several cohorts of young entrepreneurs and tech innovators in Nigeria.[2][8]
