Noelia Amoedo is a Spanish technology entrepreneur and business executive known for her work in digital advertising technology, mobile services, and artificial intelligence. Career

[edit]

Early Career (1999-2008)

[edit]

Amoedo began her career in 1999 at iPIN Transaction Systems in San Francisco, gaining early experience in digital business models and emerging technologies.

She subsequently joined MyAlert, later acquired by the Buongiorno Group - a mobile value-added services provider that was, itself, later acquired by NTT Docomo. During her tenure from 2000 to 2008, she held various commercial roles with P&L responsibility and was instrumental in the company's international expansion, opening markets such as Greece, South Africa, Australia, Kuwait or the US. She managed the US market operations for three years.

Technology Leadership Roles (2008-2012)

[edit]

From 2008 to 2009, Amoedo served as VP of Mobile at hi5 Networks, which was the third-largest social network globally at the time with over 60 million active users. She was responsible for defining and executing the company's mobile strategy, pioneering mobile services for social networks when the industry was primarily desktop-focused.

Between 2009 and 2011, she worked at Palm Europe (later acquired by Hewlett-Packard) during the development and launch of webOS, their mobile operating system. She held positions across marketing, business development, and product functions, leading European market penetration efforts in UK, France, Germany and Spain.

Mediasmart Mobile (2012-2024)

[edit]

In 2012, Amoedo founded Mediasmart Mobile, an AI-driven software-as-a-service platform for programmatic advertising across mobile devices, connected TVs, and digital out-of-home screens. The company started with €1.4 million in initial investment and achieved profitability by 2016.

Under her leadership, Mediasmart expanded internationally across five continents, serving over 100 monthly active clients running campaigns in more than 130 countries through partnerships with over 40 global partners. The company employed up to 75 people across offices in Spain, France, UK, US, Brazil, Mexico, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

In March 2020, Mediasmart was sold Mediasmart to Affle Group[2], a publicly traded technology company[3]. She continued as CEO through a four-year earn-out period, completing the transition in June 2024.

During her tenure at Affle, Noelia served on several corporate boards:

  • Affle India Limited (2022-2024): Non-executive director of the publicly traded company (BSE: 542752, NSE: AFFLE)
  • Jampp Ireland (2021-2024): Non-executive director of the holding company for Jampp's global operations
