Comment: The actress should played a lead or significant role in 2 or more films or tv shows to pass notability. Significant role is where the actresses role got major recognition by critics and reliable media sources. Any awards and achievements are a plus. RangersRus (talk) 12:55, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
Navina Wadekar is an Indian television actress who gained recognition for her role as Bawri in the Hindi sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She joined the long-running SAB TV series in January 2023, taking over the character from previous actress Monika Bhadoriya.[1][2]
Personal life
[edit]Wadekar maintains privacy about her personal life and early background.
Television career
[edit]Wadekar began her television career with appearances in episodic crime anthology series. She portrayed various characters in Crime Patrol on Sony TV, Savdhaan India on Star Bharat, and Crime Alert on Dangal TV, where she played the recurring role of Riddhima.[3] In 2021, she expanded into Marathi television with a role in Sony Marathi's series Tumchi Mulgi Kay Karte?[4]
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
[edit]Wadekar's casting in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah followed an extensive audition process conducted by the show's production team. Producer Asit Kumarr Modi stated that they "auditioned so many talents" before selecting Wadekar for the role, citing her "fresh and innocent face" as suitable for the character of Bawri.[5]
The character of Bawri, depicted as a young woman from Kanpur and love interest of character Bagha (Tanmay Vekaria), received increased screen presence following Wadekar's casting. Industry analysts noted the character's development from a minor role to regular storylines under Wadekar's portrayal.[6]
