Nagasandra is a residential and commercial locality situated in the northern part of Bangalore, in the Bangalore Urban district of Karnataka, India. Located along Tumkur Road (National Highway 48), it has undergone rapid transformation from a semi-rural suburb into a well-connected urban neighborhood. Nagasandra lies at an approximate latitude of 13.0480° N and longitude of 77.5001° E, with an average elevation of 914 meters (2,999 feet) above sea level. It is part of the Dasarahalli Assembly Constituency and falls under the jurisdiction of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The official PIN code of Nagasandra is 560073. Nagasandra is best known for being the northern terminal of the Green Line of Namma Metro and for hosting the IKEA Bangalore store.

Nagasandra lies along Tumkur Road (NH 48) and is part of the Bangalore Urban district. It is located near areas such as Jalahalli, Peenya, Dasarahalli, and Hesaraghatta. Due to its strategic location, Nagasandra serves as a key junction for commuters traveling between central Bangalore and the industrial and residential suburbs in the northwest. Apart from the metro, the area is served by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) with regular bus routes. The Outer Ring Road and NICE Road provide access to other parts of the city, making Nagasandra a convenient residential choice for working professionals.

Namma Metro – Nagasandra Station

The Nagasandra Metro Station is an elevated station on the Green Line of the Namma Metro, Bangalore’s rapid transit system. It was inaugurated on May 1, 2015, and serves as the northern terminal of the Green Line. The station enhances connectivity to nearby localities and has played a major role in easing traffic congestion on Tumkur Road.
