nShift
[edit]nShift is a European software company that provides cloud-based delivery and transport management solutions for ecommerce, retail, manufacturing, and third-party logistics (3PL) businesses. It enables nearly one billion annual parcel shipments and returns across 190 countries through a unified carrier network.[1]
History
[edit]nShift was formed in 2021 following the merger of five logistics software companies: Consignor (Norway), Unifaun (Sweden), Transsmart (Netherlands), Returnado (Sweden), and Webshipper (Denmark).[2] Consignor and Unifaun were founded in 1997. The merged company was rebranded nShift to offer unified delivery and returns orchestration.[3]
Services
[edit]nShift’s platform supports:
- Delivery and pickup option selection at checkout
- Shipping label generation and carrier routing
- Branded tracking portals and post-purchase notifications
- Returns processing and analytics
- Emissions reporting and cost analysis
It integrates with ecommerce platforms, warehouse management systems, ERP, and CRM tools, accessing over 700 carriers globally.[4]
Industry Context
[edit]Supply Chain Digital describes nShift as part of a growing trend of transport management systems delivering greater supply chain visibility and control to manufacturers.[5] An integration with Blue Yonder WMS was launched in June 2025 to streamline outbound delivery and fulfilment via transport orchestration.[6]
Recognition
[edit]Gartner named nShift a Representative Vendor in its 2024 Market Guide for Multicarrier Parcel Management Solutions.[7] It was further cited as a Notable Vendor in Gartner’s Europe Context: Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems from 2023–2025.[8]
Reviews
[edit]On G2, nShift holds a 4.0/5 average from user reviews highlighting carrier integration and onboarding ease.[9] Reviews on Gartner Peer Insights note its implementation ease and integration flexibility.[10] TrustRadius also rates its transport management features highly.[11]
