NATO and CSTO are both military alliances. There are many differences between the two alliances. The first one is NATO was formed in 1949 while CSTO was formed in 1992. The second one is no one has left NATO while 3 countries have left CSTO. Those 3 countries were Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. The third one is leaders. NATO is lead by The USA and Western Europe while CSTO is lead by Russia. The fourth one is expansionism.NATO still expands today, while CSTO has to face Armenia leaving. NATO is getting three countries. Those three are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and Ukraine. <nato.int>
