MyJohnbritto: A Journey Through Frames, Verses, and Vision*
[edit]Born on March 3, 1978, in the serene town of Chavara in Kollam district, He emerged from a family rooted in values and tradition. The son of Francis Alphons Fernandes and Karleena, he would go on to create a space for himself in the creative world. Anchored by the support of his spouse, Archana John, and blessed with a daughter, Damita J Britto, his artistic journey has been nothing short of inspirational.
From the vibrant cultural hub of Cochin Kalabhavan, where he laid the foundations of his artistic identity, He entered the visual medium with a passion that would soon evolve into a multifaceted career. In 2003, he made his acting debut in the Tamil movie *Kathal Kaditham*, followed by a role in the Malayalam film *Kovalam*, marking his presence in two major South Indian film industries.
His love for music and storytelling soon found voice in a series of music albums:
- Azhake Ninakkay (2004)
- Viswasadeepame (2005)
- Sree Guruvayoor Nadayil (2006)
- Swanthamalle (2007)
In 2006, he also ventured into filmmaking with the short film *Kaala*, showcasing his growing flair for direction and concept development.
The turning point in his cinematic journey came in 2008, when he began working under the legendary director *Shaji N Karun* as an assistant. This mentorship enriched his narrative depth and honed his craft in filmmaking.
2013 saw a significant milestone with *Daivam Thadavarayil*, a movie where He donned multiple hats — scripting, directing, and acting — proving his all-round capabilities in storytelling. He repeated this triumphant formula in the 2014 Malayalam film *Antivirus*, once again taking charge of script, direction, and performance.
His career then transitioned into a successful stint with Asianet, one of Kerala’s leading TV channels, where he worked as an assistant producer and coordinator from 2014 to 2020. During this period, he contributed to some of the channel’s most popular programs, including:
- Comedy Stars
- Five Star Thattukada
- Maunam Sammatham
- Shappile Curry
- Vishwasichalum Illenkilum
- Bigg Boss
In 2022, his musical journey continued with the soulful track *Sudoku*, and he also served as the coordinator for the notable movie *Viddikalude Mash*.
Now, as 2025 approaches, He prepares for his most anticipated project yet "Prathirodham", a film that sees him once again writing, directing, and performing. This upcoming work is set to embody his artistic philosophy, combining vision with social relevance.
