Monglapota High School is a government-sponsored, state-run educational institution located in Monglapota village, on the southern bank of the Shilabati River, in the Garhbeta-1 block of Paschim Medinipur district, West Bengal. Established in 1940, the school has played a vital role in providing quality education to the local community. It is recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) for secondary education and by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) for higher secondary education. The institution currently offers education from Class V to XII, serving students from rural areas.

The school is equipped with a library and a separate room for the headmaster. Electricity is available throughout the campus, though the installed solar panels are currently non-functional.

The school has adequate sanitation facilities, with separate functional toilets for boys and girls. Additionally, it provides handwashing stations near the toilets and meal areas. The institution also features a playground, contributing to the physical development of students. Drinking water facilities are available and fully functional.

The student population represents diverse social categories, with a significant number of General, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students.
