Mona Lilja is professor at Malmö University and the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. She is a resistance researcher and one of the pioneering founders of Resistance Studies as a research field. Her research focus on the ways in which resistance is formed, expressed, and perceived within various social and political contexts. Throughout her career, Mona has made contributions to the understanding of resistance, particularly through her work on constructed and semiotic resistance. In addition to her individual work, Lilja is part of the RESIST group, a research group that explores various dimensions of resistance. Together, they have developed the “ABC of Resistance,” a framework that categorizes and analyzes different forms of resistance.
