Development

[edit]

At the June 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation announced that they had greenlit an adult animation television series focused on the DC Comics character Scott Free / Mister Miracle, a member of the New Gods. The series would be based on the 2017–2018 Mister Miracle comic book miniseries written by Tom King and illustrated by Mitch Gerads. King was attached as showrunner and an executive producer of the animated series,[1] after previously working on a planned New Gods film for the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) franchise that was shelved in 2021.[2] At the time of the series' announcement, the studios had not yet determined a network for it to be released on.[1]
