Michael Howard is an American attorney specializing in business and corporate law. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he is a partner at the law firm Pruvent PLLC. Howard’s practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, real estate transactions, and technology law.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Michael Howard was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in 2010.[2][1] Before attending law school, he participated in programs focusing on international business law, including a Workshop for International Business Transactions at Cornell Law School in China in 2008.[3]
Career
[edit]While studying at law school, Howard worked as a Summer Associate at Ruder Ware LLSC in 2009. He was admitted to the Minnesota Bar in 2010 and began his career as a Business Attorney at Ravich, Meyer, Kirkman, McGrath, Nauman & Tansey, P.A. He worked there until 2015, when he joined Hellmuth & Johnson, PLLC, as a Business Attorney and Equity Member.
In 2018, after three years, he transitioned to Stinson LLP as a Business Attorney and Partner. One year later, in 2019, he began working at Pruvent PLLC as CEO and Business Attorney.[4]
His work includes mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, corporate formation, real estate transactions, and acting as outside general counsel for various businesses. In addition, he has handled bankruptcy reorganizations, loan negotiations, and compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.[5]
