Meitetsu Kagashima Line (Japanese: 名鉄鏡島線, Hepburn: Meitetsu Kagashima-sen) was a 4.4 km long railway line which existed from 1924 and was operated by Meitetsu from 1930 to 1964. The line connected Gifu-eki-mae Station with Nagarakitamachi Station. The line ran through the city of Gifu in Japan.

History

[edit]

The line was constructed by the Mino Electric Railways to transport people to the Osshin-ji. The company opened the line on April 21, 1924. The line during its first year was relatively isolated from the other Meitetsu Lines, and rolling stocks were transported from the Gifu Shinai Line. The Gifu Shinai Line connected with Senjudo Station on June 1, 1925.
