Marguerite Aline Abomo Fama was born in Bana, Lembe Yezoum, Haute-Sanaga, Centre Region of Cameroon and a Politician by profession.[1] Her political affiliation was to the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM). Marguerite Aline Abomo Fama's contributions to her constituency and her dedication to national defense and security were significant aspects of her career. Her untimely death on November 9, 2023, was a great loss to the political community in Cameroon.[2]
Early Life and Career
[edit]Marguerite Aline Abomo Fama embarked on her political journey in 2013 when she secured a seat in the National Assembly representing the Haute-Sanaga constituency. She was re-elected for a second term in 2020. Renowned for her unwavering dedication, she tirelessly advocated for her constituents and showed a deep commitment to national defense and security matters. Sadly, she passed away on November 9, 2023, at the military hospital in Yaoundé after falling ill, just hours before the November parliamentary session commenced.[1][2][3]
Professional Achievements
[edit]She was a fervent member of the National Assembly[3], representing the Haute-Sanaga constituency from 2013 until her death in 2023.[4] At the time of her death, she was a member of the National Defense and Security Commission.[5] As a member of the Inter parliamentary Groups, she was a member of the Cameroon-Denmark, Cameroon-Tunisia, and Cameroon-Israel friendship groups.[5]
