Dr. Mansour Jabbari is an Attorney at Law, a member of the Iran Central Bar Association.[1] He has been a professor of law at Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran, Iran, since 1998.

He holds an impressive record of teaching at graduate level for 25 years in the field of International Law, air and space law, and the law of international organizations. He was also Assistant Dean for Staff and Alumni Relations between 2000 and 2003 at Allameh Tabataba'i University. [2]

He holds the degree of Doctor of International Law (PhD) from Laval University in Canada, a degree of Master of Laws (LL.M) from McGill University in Canada, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from University of Judicial Sciences and Administrative Services.

He is the author of 5 books and more than 50 articles published in academic and professional journals and edited volumes. [3] His research and professional work are particularly renowned in the fields of space law, air law and the law of road transportation.His books have become authoritative academic resources, widely adopted for teaching air law in universities across Iran, solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the field. Among his numerous contributions, some of his articles have been featured in esteemed institutions and publications such as the Institute for The Environment and Security Journal and the Revue Juridique Thémis in Canada, showcasing the breadth and impact of his scholarly work.[4]

In addition to his academic writings, Dr. Jabbari has made several significant professional contributions, including serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Public Law at Allameh Tabataba'i University and as a member of the editorial boards of several law journals, including the Iranian Review for UN Studies (IRUNS) and Public Law Studies Quarterly. These roles highlight his ongoing commitment to advancing legal scholarship in public law.

Beyond academia, Dr. Jabbari has worked extensively as a consultant for the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, and a Member of the Executive Council of the Faculty of Law at Allameh Tabataba'i University.

Academic Positions

Dr. Mansour Jabbari served as a professor at Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran, Iran, from 1999 to 2017, teaching air law, space law, public international law, and the law of international organizations. During the same period, he also held the position of adjunct professor at Islamic Azad University, contributing to the field of public international law. In addition to his teaching roles, Dr. Jabbari served as a supervisor or advisor for over 110 theses during his academic tenure, further impacting the development of future legal professionals. Earlier in his career, from 1979 to 1984, he taught Sociology and English at the high school level in Tehran.

Professional Experience

From 2001 to 2002, Dr. Mansour Jabbari served as the Assistant Dean for Staff and Alumni Relations at Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran, Iran. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, he held the position of Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at Islamic Azad University in Tehran, demonstrating his leadership and administrative capabilities in higher education.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Jabbari has a distinguished legal career. From 2001 to 2020, he practiced law as an attorney and was a member of the Iran Central Bar Association. Earlier in his legal journey, from 1985 to 1987, he completed a legal traineeship at the Justice Department of Iran, pursuing his articling program alongside his law degree. Subsequently, from 1987 to 1990, he served as an attorney with the Ministry of Justice of Iran, where he specialized in reviewing taxpayers' complaints against the Finance Department.

During his studies at Laval University in Canada (1995–1997), Dr. Jabbari worked as a Computer Lab Assistant. In this role, he assisted students with legal research tools such as Quick Law and West Law, as well as word processing and other computer research technologies, showcasing his commitment to supporting academic excellence.

Sabbaticals
