Liberte Pay LTD[1] is a Ghanaian financial technology company headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Also know as LibertePay, the company offers digital payment solutions, including payment gateway services, peer-to-peer transfers, bill payments, and remittance services. In 2025, Liberte Pay received a license[2] from the Bank of Ghana[3] to operate as an Enhanced Payment Service Provider (ePSP).
History
[edit]LibertePay came into existence to revolutionize Ghana's digital payment system through its protected and user-friendly financial technology offerings. The business works to make financial processes easier while expanding economic accessibility and supporting an economy without physical currency use.
In 2025 LibertePay received its operational license[4] from the Bank of Ghana to function as an Enhanced Payment Service Provider according to the Payment Systems and Services Act 2019 (Act 987)[5]. The license permits the company to deliver various payment services which include merchant acquisition and aggregation services alongside payment gateway solutions and peer-to-peer transfers and bill payment and remittance services.

The payment gateway solutions of LibertePay enable businesses to process electronic payments which use bank accounts mobile money and QR codes. The company's platform connects with major Ghanaian banks together with mobile network operators to process these transactions.

The company provides peer-to-peer (P2P) transfer services through which users can transfer money effortlessly between multiple platforms. LibertéPay Bill Payments Users can conveniently pay bills through LibertePay's platform which brings together multiple billers in one centralized payment solution.
- Remittance Services
