History
[edit]Kuwait American School (KAS) is a private, values-based educational institution located in Salmiya, Kuwait. It was established in 1999[1]by its founder and director, Wajeeha Al-Habib,[2] along with the founding principal, Peter Williams. The school initially opened with 108 students and quickly expanded. By September 2000, a new facility was constructed to accommodate the increasing student body.[3]
Educational Approach
[edit]KAS is known for integrating a values-based curriculum and was the first school in the Gulf region to adopt the Living Values Education Program. The school also introduced a specialized Etiquette Program aimed at fostering moral and ethical development among students. In 2000, KAS contributed to the Education for All initiative and offered 33 quality-based learning indicators to UNESCO as a model for early childhood education[4].
Growth and Development
[edit]In 2010, KAS expanded its academic offerings by establishing a high school. The first graduating class completed their studies in June 2014. The school achieved accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS) in November 2015 and was re-accredited by CIS on 31 January 2022 [5], further solidifying its reputation as a premier international institution.

and is the Head of Registration/Executive HR, managing student registration and human resources functions.[8]
