Role Recognized by the Ministry of Justice

[edit]

The rules of Kurash, created by Yusupov, were officially adopted in Uzbekistan and played a key role in establishing Kurash as a sport both nationally and globally.

Kurash has existed for over 3,500 years in traditional celebrations, but in 1990, Yusupov codified it into a modern sport. Under his leadership, international recognition and global competitions began. The IKA and regional confederations across five continents (Africa, Europe, Oceania, Asia, Pan America) now operate using Yusupov’s rules.

[edit]

To support Kurash, the Government of Uzbekistan passed several legal acts. Today, global and regional championships, international tournaments, and training seminars for referees and coaches are all conducted based on Komil Yusupov’s official rules.

Key documents such as the *International Kurash Rules*, *Kurash Uniform*, *Mat Regulations*, and *Competition Guidelines* were authored by Yusupov and registered with the Ministry of Justice. These are legally patented and protected under copyright law.

Yusupov’s legacy includes making Kurash an official sport of the Asian Games. His intellectual property and moral rights are fully protected under national and international law.
